Nautical Themed Mantle
The nautical theme has many takers when it comes to
Fourth of July decorating. Be it the boat decoration
competitions or the fireworks on the riverfront or our love
for sailors and all things related to the sea, Independence
Day is closely associated with the water and that inspired
us for this beautiful Nautical themed mantel decor.
DIY Artwork - Create inexpensive artwork
quickly by covering dollar store wooden artwork frames with
printed quilting fabric. We found these lighthouse quarters
by Moda on eBay and covered the wooden boards with them
taping them at the back. Voila! Instant nautical artwork.
Now dress the mantle with whatever nautical
items you can find. We placed out sailboat ship model
between our lighthouse bookends (placed apart and flat). The
books can just rest of the shelves for some time while these
lovely bookends provide some eye candy.
