Patriotic Votive Candle Holders

Patriotic Votive Candle HoldersThis easy craft is something even kids can do, and the hint of patriotism it adds to the candles will brighten up any area with the spirit of the Fourth of July. You can use them as interesting table settings by writing each persons name on them or simply as a fun decoration.

What you will need:

1. Red and blue permanent markers
2. Clear glass or white votive candleholder
3. Votive candle in blue, red or white

Directions:

1. Begin by cleaning the votive candleholder and removing any stickers.

2. Dry the holder completely and allow it to sit for a few minutes to make sure it is very dry.

3. Use the permanent markers to draw patriotic designs on the candleholder. You can use stencils to help, if you aren't sure about your drawing abilities.

4. Do not touch the marker on the candleholder for approximately two hours because oil in you fingers can cause the ink to rub off or smear.
